Dennis Clerke
Chief Executive Officer, Alignent Software

Dennis Clerke has 20 years of experience in managing high-tech software companies. Prior to joining Alignent Software, Dennis was President and CEO of Cardiff Software, Inc., a leading provider of content capture and business process management software. During his time at Cardiff, he grew revenue from start up to nearly $30M in sales garnering the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 award four years running and led the company through a successful acquisition by Verity. Prior to Cardiff, Dennis served as Director of Marketing and Sales for DataVision Technologies, a multimedia content software company acquired by National Computer Systems and was a founder at Theratek International , a successful medical device start-up company acquired by Dow Corning Wright. Dennis received his bachelors degree, magna cum laude, in engineering from Boston University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Business.

Carl Dietz
Founder, Alignent Software

With more than 20 years of business management experience, Carl Dietz has launched global software sales initiatives with great success in roadmapping, technology foresight and strategic planning. Prior to co-founding Alignent Software in 1999 with Yusuf Shirazi, he was in charge of Sales and Business Development at Irvine, Calif.-based Relsys International. Carl was responsible for developing multimillion-dollar software licenses among many of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies. Before joining Relsys International, Carl was Senior Director of Surgical Products at Chiron Corporation, where he managed and developed a product line of computer- and software-driven microsurgical devices.

John Hall
Managing Director, Horizon Ventures

John Hall has more than 15 years of experience in the venture capital industry as a founder of Newtek Ventures II in 1990 and Horizon Ventures in 1999. In addition, John has broad experience in senior financial and general management roles over a 20-year period in the pharmaceutical, semiconductor and software industries. During his venture capital career, John has been a member of 14 board of directors of both private and public companies and currently serves on the boards of four private companies. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance and an MBA in Finance from San Jose State University and has done Ph.D. work in Finance at the University of Santa Clara.

Robert Kibble
Managing Partner, Mission Ventures

A founding Mission Ventures Managing Partner since 1996, Robert Kibble has more than 20 years of venture capital experience focusing on early-stage information technology companies. Prior to joining Mission Ventures, Robert was a founding General Partner of Paragon Venture Partners, Vice President of Citicorp Venture Capital and Vice President of Citicorp Merchant Banking Group in both Malaysia and Brazil. Robert has a Bachelor's degree, with honors, in Natural Sciences from Oxford University, and a MBA from the Darden School, University of Virginia. He currently serves as Director of Andigilog, Bullrun Financial, DispenseSource, dock3, Eveo and Shopzilla.com.

Paul Salsgiver
President and CEO, Aspetrics, Inc.

Paul Salsgiver has more than 32 years of proven management experience and is a recognized leader in the creation of applications for the higher education industry. He is currently the President and CEO of Aspetrics, Inc, an analytical instrument and software solution provider. Before joining Advanced Photometrics, Paul served as the President and CEO for HigherMarkets, the leading eProcurement ASP services vendor in the higher education marketplace. Prior to HigherMarkets he was the chief executive officer of Rubric, Inc., the industry leader in eMarketing Automation (eMA) applications, which was acquired by Broadbase Software at the end of 1999.
